It's been a minute...

MAN! Life just fly's by. So much has happen since my last post. I am pregnant with baby #2 and Carter is turning 3 in 3 days. WHAT?! We are still living in Clearfield and are renting from my cousin in the house he grew up in. It's great! We have so much room.
I am currently serving as 1st counselor in the primary presidency and it's great! I love this calling. I have been in primary for just over 3 years now. Nick is still in school but should be done in a little under a year. Let's keep our fingers crossed! Carter is loving life and is excited to have a little brother on the way. He was in denial for a while since he wanted a baby sister, but a brother will just have to do.
Carter's current obsessions are; surprise eggs, super heroes, NERF and Star Wars.

My baby's 1??

Carter turned 1 year old on July 3, 2013. He started walking at 11 months old. This kid is the cutest little boy ever! He melts my heart. When he was opening presents, he did care more about the present than the paper. Every gift that was in a box, he felt the need to get on top of it and do a little dance. Carter did not have a birthday cake to smash. He got a cupcake. Whilst I was taking the cake out of the pan, the cake fell to pieces. I didn't even bother trying to make another one.

Moving. Enough said.

So we are moving across country. Okay not really. We are moving like 300 ft away from where we currently are. We will be renting a little old house with a little fenced yard. We are so excited for this move to be over with. The past few days Nick and I have been painting and cleaning to get the place ready to move into. It has been a lot of work. (The previous renters trashed it). We went to paint the back bathroom and discovered that it has black mold. GREAT!!! Ugh. We are however excited to have a little more room and to have brand new carpet to run our toes through.

Where to begin...?

I obviously have been so busy lately that I can't even update the blog! Carter is now 10 months old. Still can't believe it.  He loves to walk around with his dog and cries when he can't walk any further. He also LOVES to be outside. He will try to pry open the door so he can get out. We recently went to Hogle Zoo. It was Nick and Carter's first time! It was so much fun.

Carter also has 3 1/2 teeth now (waiting for the 4th to just break through). He is SO fast at crawling and loves to climb the stairs (all the way up) he just doesn't know how to come back down yet.

 



Carter is 8 months

Time is flying by. Carter is 8 months old now and I can't believe it. He has grown so much over the last little while. He crawls now!!! I would say March 6th is when he officially started crawling/ army crawling. It is so fun to watch him get around to things. He loves to go after our dog, Sasha. He loves to get into her basket of toys. He will go pull his bottle out of the diaper bag. He is still teething on the top teeth. He has his bad days where he just isn't himself, but he is still so much fun to be with. He touches everything with just one finger. It is so funny.

Roadtrip to Vegas to see baby Blake

My parents, Carter and I just got home from a quick trip to Vegas to see my new nephew, Blake. He is such a beautiful baby with a gorgeous head of hair! Carter proved to everyone just how wonderful he was. Not one..I repeat...not one tantrum from this kid the entire trip. Carter was so funny when he met Blake, he had a huge grin on his face while he touched him with just one finger.

Carter @ 7 Months

How big is Carter? SOOOO BIG! He weighs 18.8 lbs. He's tall and has gorgeous blue eyes! He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He is going to be crawling before we know it. He is still such a joy to have around. He has been teething lately so he gets a little cranky sometimes. At night he is fine until you lay him down in his crib and then once you're not touching him anymore, he screams bloody murder. It is so sad but I also love the fact that I get to rock him to sleep sometimes and that he grasps onto me and doesn't want to let go. It just confirms how much he loves his mama. :)

Side Note:  We got Sasha groomed and had them chop ALL of her hair off. She looks so cute and you could tell she loved the fact that she didn't have a top knot.
She seriously looks like a completely different dog.
